Apple enthusiasts eager for new iPad models may need to exercise patience, as Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has suggested that the company is likely to introduce any new iPad models before the year’s end.
Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (6th Generation): with M2 chip, Liquid Retina XDR Display, 1TB, Wi-Fi 6E, 12MP front/12MP and 10MP Back Cameras, Face ID, All-Day Battery Life – Space Gray
Kuo, a reputable source for Apple-related insights, did not delve into specific details regarding Apple’s forthcoming tablets.
While the next-generation iPad Pro models have consistently been rumored to debut in 2024 rather than this year, speculations concerning updates to the iPad mini and iPad Air have been mixed.
Notably, a dependable Weibo leaker recently indicated that the sixth-generation iPad Air is slated to make its debut in October as the sole iPad refresh for 2023, stating, “no mini and Pro this year.”
Apple iPad (9th Generation): with A13 Bionic chip, 10.2-inch Retina Display, 64GB, Wi-Fi, 12MP front/8MP Back Camera, Touch ID, All-Day Battery Life – Space Gray
Adding to this, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman mentioned in a recent episode of The MacRumors Show podcast that an enhanced iPad Air with upgraded specifications is in development and could arrive “soonish,” likely in October.
Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (4th Generation): with M2 chip, Liquid Retina Display, 128GB, Wi-Fi 6E, 12MP front/12MP and 10MP Back Cameras, Face ID, All-Day Battery Life – Space Gray
Nevertheless, Kuo’s recent statement casts uncertainty over the potential October release of a new iPad Air.
In a separate report last week, Kuo also suggested that Apple may have altered its plans to introduce any new MacBook models equipped with M3-series chips in 2023. Taken together,
following Apple’s “Wonderlust” event, which unveiled the iPhone 15 lineup, the prospects for new Apple releases in the latter half of 2023 appear to be diminishing.
