If you’ve been patiently waiting for an affordable tablet that won’t break the bank, OnePlus has some exciting news for you. The company has officially confirmed the existence of the OnePlus Pad Go, a budget-friendly addition to its tablet lineup that was previously just a rumor.
OnePlus Pad 11.61" LCD Display, 8GB RAM,128GB Storage, MediaTek Dimensity 9000, Android 13.1, 144HZ Refresh Rate, Dolby Vision Atmos, Wi-Fi with Cellular Data Sharing Tablet
This week, OnePlus shared an exclusive render of the OnePlus Pad Go’s design with Digital Trends, giving us a glimpse of what to expect. The tablet retains the distinctive green hue of its predecessor, the OnePlus Pad, and features curved edges for easy handling on the go.
The bezels on the OnePlus Pad Go are similar to those on the OnePlus Pad, but the standout upgrade is the display. OnePlus COO and President Kinder Liu revealed that the OnePlus Pad Go will boast a 2.4K display, thanks to its wider edge, offering a higher resolution for a more visually stunning experience. Plus, it comes with Dolby Atmos support for high-fidelity sound.
Liu described the OnePlus Pad Go as a mid-tier option designed for entertainment purposes. One of its most appealing features is its price point, expected to be lower than similar models from competitors with comparable specs. Upon launch, the tablet will run on Android 13-based Oxygen OS, but it will be compatible with OxygenOS 14 when it becomes available. OnePlus has also designed the tablet to facilitate seamless content syncing across multiple devices, making it easy to transfer photos from a OnePlus phone to the OnePlus Pad Go without the need for account logins.
While an official launch date for the tablet hasn’t been announced, it’s expected to debut in India soon. As for an international release, it may coincide with OnePlus’ hardware event scheduled for January next year. While the event is anticipated to unveil the OnePlus 12 and 12R smartphones and potentially new earbuds, exact details, including the event date, remain undisclosed. If you’re on the lookout for budget-friendly tech, it’s definitely a development worth keeping an eye on.
