In a commendable move, Roland is enriching its TR-8S and TR-6S drum machines with a series of exciting updates, bolstering these already versatile instruments. The latest firmware upgrades, TR-8S 3.0 and TR-6S 2.0, introduce two significant additions that promise to enhance your music-making experience.

One of these enhancements is the inclusion of an ACB model of the CR-78 CompuRhythm, a legendary drum machine. This addition to the TR series is particularly thrilling for those who appreciate the classic rhythms of Roland’s vintage drum boxes.
Equally thrilling is the incorporation of a chromatic TR-808 mode, designed to facilitate the creation of basslines. This feature expands the creative possibilities of the TR-8S and TR-6S by allowing users to play an 808 kick chromatically.

The TR-Editor app on both Mac and PC is also receiving an update, enhancing usability with tweaks and introducing a more compact user interface optimized for smaller displays.
